What is tokenmaxxing?

Tokenmaxxing is the 2026 workplace trend of measuring people by how many AI tokens they burn, complete with internal leaderboards. Tokenmaxxed turns it round: instead of counting the tokens you use, it shows what you are worth in tokens, and what it would cost a company to replace you with AI.

How much would it cost to replace me with AI?

Pick a typical day of tasks and a model, and Tokenmaxxed estimates the tokens an AI would use doing that work, then prices it on today's published model rates, per day, month and year. It is satire with real arithmetic: it leaves out training, hardware, oversight and everything AI still gets wrong.

How is my worth in tokens worked out?

Your day's pay is divided by the price per token of your typical day on the chosen model. Your salary is rounded to a 5% band first, so a shared number never reveals your exact pay.

Is my salary sent anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser and saved only on your device. Your salary never goes to a server, a link, a share text or an image.

How much energy does AI use?

Published estimates for a short text prompt cluster around a third of a watt-hour, and long reasoning tasks can use many times more. Tokenmaxxed scales this by the tokens in your typical day to estimate your AI twin's electricity, water and carbon for a year.

Which AI models does it compare?

A curated lineup from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI and Mistral, priced from each vendor's published rates. Prices not yet checked against the vendor's own page are marked as needing a recheck.
